Phil in Billings:
After a long ride from MN we made it to Luke and Alison’s apartment in Billings welcomed with beers and Thai food by my brother. John Atwood also made a late night appearance to watch Death Proof before I passed out on the couch where I awoke around noon everyday in Billings. Emma split off the next morning to stay in Bozeman with her friend Kat. My week was highlighted with meeting Alison then the rest of her family in Helena over the weekend. Once again food, friends, and drink brought us together for some good times. I cooked Tuesday night while just hanging out with Alison while we waited for Luke. Wednesday saw my brother cook Thai again while we watched a movie with Mohammed and Jennifer. Thursday I got out on the Rim to take a walk and look at the city before Luke got off early to start burgers for a World Series party of quite a few old friends and new characters. A big shout out goes to Abe and Shad!! Alison, Luke, and I then spent the weekend in Helena to stay with her family there. Howard and Sue had steak and potatoes ready for us to scarf down before a pretty early night. Saturday was the Montana state track meet for Alison’s younger brother Harlon so we piled into the mini van and headed to Missoula to watch the race and hit up the goodwill. Later that evening back in Helena we had beers and other forms of entertainment before getting out to see a wild midnight show of Rocky Horror Picture Show at a local theater. It was impressive. Sunday was nice and relaxed with each person waking at his or her own time and tune. Sue and Alison showed me a few of the ropes of horseback riding before we had to get back on the rode going our separate ways. Love you guys and will be seeing you again soon!! Take it easy.
